Minert & Associates was established in 1990 by the President and original owner of the company, David R. Minert. Prior to establishing the company Mr. Minert had extensive experience in drug and alcohol testing issues serving as an attorney in the US Air Force as well as a prosecutor for the Idaho Attorney Generals Office. Dave graduated from Brigham Young University (1976) in Political Science and later graduated from Gonzaga Law School (1981) with a Doctorate in Law.

Jeff Minert serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and current owner of the company. Jeff graduated from Boise State University (2006) with a degree in Marketing and has since earned a Masters in Business Administration (2008). Brandon Minert serves as the Office Manager for Minert & Associates. Brandon graduated from Boise State University (2009) in Entrepreneurial Studies, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
